Well, That Was Easy....

Google searches for Merrill McPeak result in us being the first hits. A recent influx of comments(yeah, that would be two comments) caused me to check.

McPeak has got to be bumming. Sorry, dude, apparently I'm it when it comes to you.

I never would have ever guessed in a million years that a man with his accomplishments would end up strapped to a no-account lay-about like me.

What I remember best about McPeak is he rolled back all the good changes that had been made by those who preceded him and set the USAF back about 10 years in the efforts some were making to turn it into a reputable place to work...

So he's become a loony lyin' leftie who says that we need the support of those who were taking bribes from Saddam Hussein? So what?

General McPeak has finally shown his true colors. I just wish that he did not wear Air Force Blue. As one of the youngest Command Chief Master Sergeants in the Air Force it amazed me how McPeak ever got in to the position of Air Force Chief Of Staff. He screwed up as Chief Of Staff and he is now coming out to support the very man who called him a Criminal, Baby Killer and such. I came back from Vietnam in June of 1970 and had the honor of being spit on by the Berkley & Standford group who had been taught by professors of the Kerry Group. They were taught what to think and not "How To Think".

I then spent a number of years in Air Force Recruiting. Serving as a Recruiter, Operations Supertindent and the only enlisted Commander Of
a Recruiting Squadron in Hawaii. The Kerry group would break into our offices and dump red paint on the files. Throw red paint on those coming in to enlist. I was in the last 18 months of the draft and then in the all volunteer era. The Chiefs group, which consists of only 1% of the Air Force knew which officers would be good Generals. McPeak never had one vote from this group and many had served with him and disliked his self serving kiss ass attitude to anyone above him in rank and became a politician's favorite. That is how he road on the coat tails of men like General Ronald Folgeman and the likes of many others who could help him on his self serving moves up the ladder. His policies Screwed up all that previously been done. He is no longer in the spotlight, but has found a new way to get his name and pictures out there again. What position has he been offered by John Kerry? Hell McPeak supported three other cantidates before Kerry. Kerry's record after coming home from his 4 months & 12 days caused the war to continue. 26,000 American Military had been killed when Kerry left Vietnam. By the time the POW's were free we had an additional 32,000 names who were killed in action. The blood of those 32,000rest on the hands of John Kerry, Mike Mansfield, George McGovern, Ramsey Clark, Ted Kennedy (whoes brother got us in the damn Vietnam mess) Hanoi Jane Fonda and General Merrill "Tony" McPeak" who has finally shown us his true colors. McPeak, Kerry & the French have only one thing in common with French Mustard (an American Company) they are all yellow and self serving.

Sincerely,

Ed Betenson, Command Chief Master Sergeant, USAF Retired.

PS. I looked over my 32 Medal & 15 Cluster Awards and have never been awarded a "Ribbon". They all say Medals. If Medals got a person elected President - I would be on the list. Kerry spit and all. Someone tell McPeak to speak on what he wants. I fought for him to do that. Just do not show pictures of him in Air Force Blue. French Yellow would be good. E-9's did not botain that rank by being yes men. They always say whats on their mind. I fought for that also.
