Soar With The Pigs.

I have always believed that Hunter S. Thompson is actually very good at political analysis, it just sounds like he's typing on WIld Turkey.

His latest screed(and brother, he owns the entire screed franchise) is titled Fear and Loathing, Campaign 2004, and is refreshingly harsh, like watching someone spit in Bull Connor's face.

"Four more years of George Bush will be like four more years of syphilis," the famed author said yesterday at a hastily called press conference near his home in Woody Creek, Colorado. "Only a fool or a sucker would vote for a dangerous loser like Bush," Dr. Thompson warned. "He hates everything we stand for, and he knows we will vote against him in November."

Thompson, long known for the eerie accuracy of his political instincts, went on to denounce Ralph Nader as "a worthless Judas Goat with no moral compass."

"I endorsed John Kerry a long time ago," he said, "and I will do everything in my power, short of roaming the streets with a meat hammer, to help him be the next President of the United States."

Put this together with Thompson's eulogy for Richard Nixon He Was A Crook, and I think the guy has come the closest to actually capturing the agony that politicians inflict on themselves(and us) in their quest for power.

Yep, there's only one Thompson, thank god, cause he is a true nut, but I wish we had more writers with his guts. And maybe even a few more nuts, too, while you're at it, just for fun.

Voting? Where?

So you're registered, and your just itching to do something about that damn dogcatcher. So, where do you go to actually do this voting that people are always talking about?

Well, we may have a poor attitude, but we'll steer you straight. Go to mypollingplace.com.

Yes, I checked, and they gave me the correct polling place for my address, and it's plenty obscure, so I am going to assume this is straight.

Testing.

Does the bug get fixed in Firefox? Apparently it does. Score one for Firefox.

Now, if it could import Safari bookmarks, we'd be in business.

Aaaah, A Fix For A Bug!

Using MT 2.6something here, and had no icons for links like bold and hypertext links in the editing window using Mozilla or Safari.

Damn, the URL link doesn't work in Safari.

Maybe time to switch to Firefox.
